Rochelle’s opinion
“After sweeping the board at the Tony Awards on Broadway, there were really high expectations for this show when it came across the pond. It hasn’t had quite the same reception in terms of reviews and awards, but audiences love it. The theatre has been transformed into the Moulin Rouge, complete with the iconic windmill and elephant. Visually, it is stunning – the set, costumes and choreography are fantastic.! Be prepared for the fact that it isn’t exactly the same as the film – the soundtrack is completely different and sometimes a bit relentless with constant medleys. But the favourites are all there including Come What May and El Tango de Roxanne.”

How do I get cheap Moulin Rouge tickets?
Looking for cheap Moulin Rouge tickets? Read on for tips on how to book last minute or in advance.
Last-minute cheap tickets
You can enter the Moulin Rouge lottery to be in with a chance of buying £25 tickets to see the show. Winners will be able to purchase great seats for performances across the next four weeks, and there’s even the possibility of getting a can can table right at the front! The best thing about this lottery is that you only need to enter once. Fill in your details and you’ll be automatically entered each week. Of course, with many of the lotteries, it can be hard to actually win! So be patient and good luck.
Cheap tickets for booking ahead
There are tickets available from £25, and they’re not too bad for the cheapest in the house. Situated at the back of the grand circle, they are actually high seats with a footrest and a bar to lean on. This may put some people off but actually it means you’re raised up and can see more of the action at the front of the extended stage. There’s a few parts of the stage that are slightly cut off, but overall it doesn’t affect the story. Being so good for the money, they do sell out quite quickly. So these are more likely to be found on sale several weeks ahead. Watch out for ‘peak’ performances where the seats go up to £30 and there’s fewer available!
